What's in a name?

I wanted to post a short tidbit of why we chose the name for our blog. It came out of conversation with Amanda on a walk around where we live. Amanda is a gifted photographer and would like the blog to be a springboard for advertising her work and also to capture the essence of raw family life. We also want to reflect on marriage and family as a means of grace that God uses to set our affections and trust more fully on Christ.
Martin Luther puts it perfectly,
"Child, what have you done that I should love you so? You have disturbed the whole household with your bawling."
Here and now we see God's love as through a dark glass and so what we see is but a silhouette of the revelation that will one day occur. So this is our silhouettes of grace. The pictures, posts, videos, and all things on this blog are meant to point to the realities of Christ, the groans of living through the dark glass, and the joys of knowing that the silhouettes point to something greater.
